I would like to share with viewers about my pledge to mother earth. Although Earth's Day has past, we should not stop saving our environment. My pledges towards mother earth is to minimise activities which could cause harm towards our precious environment. The most important steps to save mother earth is to recycle recyclable items such as old newspapers, empty aluminium cans, or empty plastic bottles. I would also use electricity and water wisely at home. On the other hand, I too, could help my parents save on electricity and water bills. Feeling hot? Why not we use fans instead of air-conditioners? This will reduce the amount of chlorofluorocarbon released to the atmosphere that will eventually cause global warming. These are my pledges towards our beloved mother earth. Act before it is too late and save regrets later. Together, we alter our ego and together, we save our mother earth.

How Christmas Was Celebrated in Malaysia and In Other Country.
0 comments Posted by MaYa at Sunday, February 28, 2010Our English teacher,Mdm Flowrese had an assignment for us. This time, we were required to write about the similarities and differences of how celebration in Malaysia was celebrated in other country. Therefore, I would like to share with viewers how Christmas were celebrated in Malaysia and Australia.
In Malaysia, Christmas Day is a public holidays which falls on 25 December. Every house which celebrates Christmas will set up their Christmas tree and Christmas songs will be heard throughout the month. Families will gather together to have dinner on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, Christians will go to church. After that, relatives and friends will be visiting each other. Visitors will be served with fruitcakes, biscuits, and etc. There will also be a group of choirs carolling from house to house
While in Australia, Christmas falls on summer. Christians will also set up their Christmas tree in their houses and Christmas songs will be heard. Some of the house exterior will be decorated with hundreds of lights, Santa Clause, or reindeer. Carollers usually will sing Christmas carols outdoors with a candle light in a large-scale concert style event. The Boxing Day Test, cricket test match, and the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race are two major sporting events traditionally commence on the day after Christmas Day in Australia.
I wish I could celebrate Christmas in Australia with my family. I would like to experience how Christmas was celebrated in other countries. That is for now.
